Meet CHowardArt
Who am I?
I’m this guy. I used to do all kinds of things, but life has it’s decisions…
This was me in 2008, just before it all changed.
Singing in church to my Lord….
I used to be very busy!
Drove 50 miles to work everyday! (Drove Home Too!)
Worked Very Hard as a Desktop Publisher!
Took Lots Of Photos!
Got Them Ready For Publication!
Organized Databases Of Information on EVERYTHING!
Created Publications!
Catalogs, Monthly Sales Flyers, Trade Show Graphics!
Built A Website, And Connected Publications To It!
Then One Day I got Hurt!
Back Injury! Herniated Disks! Much Pain!
Got Laid Off!
Talk about getting kicked when you’re down! But I wasn’t surprised, the money hungry grubs of unsaid company were just the type. They bought out the company I was working for and I should’ve seen the writing on the wall. They hold themselves as a “good” company but they’re no different than any other company in today’s choke and puke world. From their philosophy of “right actions make right results”, the cold reality they probably laugh about after hours. There are things I won’t say here, but they know the truth, and we all know, eventually the mighty will fall. I’m not even interested to know about it…
I mean, I got a Family!…
Pain Didn’t Get Better!…
Tried To Open My Own Business!
Went To Work For Others and Family!
Still Didn’t Get Better…
Took 3 Years But I Got Disability!
Still Drive Kids To School
Sing At Church On Sundays!
Still Much Pain!…
Eh, to be honest, the pain has become of different forms. My neck, from my neck and the lumbar region, plus my hips and knees, all now arthritis, the scourge of an active life and aging. There are other things, but hey, this is the internet. I’ve told too much already!
I keep my old website alive as something to do, because I always enjoyed it. I do miss my occupation, my career, as a Desktop Publisher (now known as “Graphic Artist”), but right about the time I wanted to go into business for myself, also when the 2008 “tech bubble” burst, the market got flooded with kids coming out from professional training (trade schools, colleges, etc.), and there was a severe surplus of Graphic Artists… I learned the craft hands-on, piece by piece, book by book, learning on the job. I made brochures, flyers, catalogs, anything that could be printed, graphics for trade show booths, all kinds of things. I spent hours entering data onto databases, I spent more taking photos of the products, trying to catch up on what was being sold, getting those images ready for storage & publications. I did it all! And I loved it!
But somewhere it is written, “all things must end”, or, “the only change that is permanent is change itself”… Or whatever, but the ride would soon be over…
Getting Hurt
This pain was new, and after going through a divorce I thought I knew it all! But this was deep, internal nerve pain, not really knowing what was causing it, and it hurt like hell! It took weeks of agony to even find out what it was that was wrong with me!
